Participants in the 25th annual Running of the Boots event start the fun run down Lincoln Street Saturday near Totem Square. The event was a fundraiser for the Sitka Local Foods Network and Youth Advocates of Sitka. In addition to the Running of the Boots, the Season’s-End celebration also included a lunch coordinated by the Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce ad sponsored by Cruise Lines International Association-Alaska, in appreciation to the community for its hospitality over the summer season, which ended Sunday.
